Managing enterprise project types in MS Project Server

Steps to manage enterprise project types in MS Project Server:

1. Click the "Server Settings" item in the left menu.
2. Click the "Enterprise Project Types" link in the "Workflow and Project Detail Pages" block.
3. To create a new enterprise project type click the "New Enterprise Project Type" button.
4. To delete the enterprise project type click the "Delete Enterprise Project Type" button.

Adding the enterprise project types in MS Project Server

You can add a lot of enterprise project types in MS Project Server.

Steps to add the enterprise project types in MS Project Server:

1. Enter in the enterprise project type name in the "Name" field.
2. Enter in the enterprise project type description in the "Description" field.
3. Set the rule to create project Id in the "Project Id" block.
4. To create a new project as a SharePoint tasks list click the "Create new projects as SharePoint Tasks List Projects" box.

5. Set the page when creating a project in the "New Project Page:" fileld.

6. Select the pages for enterprise project type in the "Available Project Detail Pages:" block.

7. To set the default enterprise project type click the "Use this as the default Enterprise Project Type during Project Creation" box.

8. If this enterprise project type is a specific department, select it in the "Departments" field.

9. If this enterprise project type has an image enter its url in the "Type of URL:" field.

10. Set the position on the creating menu in the "Order" block.

11. Set the rule of creating project site in the "Site Creation" block:(Read more "Creating a project site in MS Project Server")

• if you want to create a project site without confirmation, click the "Automatically create a site on next publish" button.
• if you want to create a project site with user confirmation, click the "Allow use" button.
• if you don't want to create a project site, click the "Do not create a site" button.

12. If you want to synchronization the project user permissions with the site user permissions click the "Sync User Permissions". box

13. If you want to synchronization the project tasks with the site SharePoint tasks lists click the "Sync User Permissions" box.

14. Set the site language in the "Default site template language:" field in "Site Language" block.

15. Set the site template in the "Site template" field in "Site Template" block.

16. Set the project paln template in the "Project Paln Template" field in the "Project Paln Template:" block. (Read more "Creating a project template in MS Project Server")

17. Click the "Save" button.
