Creating the filter for work resources by the RBS in MS Project Pro
Let's create a filter that will select all work resources of the same group by field
Steps the create a new filter in MS Project Pro:
- Click "View" the item in the top menu.
- Open the "Filter" field in the "Data" block.
- Click the "More Filters ..." button.
- Set the "Resource" box in the "Filters:" block.
- Click the "New ..." button.
Steps to describe the filter in MS Project Pro:
- Enter the name in the "Name:" field. For example: "RBS - Work ..."
- Click the "Show in menu" box.
- Select the "Type" in the "Field Name" column.
- Select the "equals" in the "Test" column.
- Seletc the "Work" in the "" column.
- Set the condition for selecting field values in the "Test" field.
- Set value to compare with field values in the "Value(s)" field. You can set a different field name for comparison.
- Set a logical relationship between filter rows in the "And/Or" field.
- If you want to cut the filter row, select it and click the "Cut Row" button.
- If you want to copy the filter row, select it and click the "Copy Row" button.
- If you want to paste the copied filter row, stand on the previous the row and click the "Paste Row" button.
- If you want to insert a new filter row, click the "Insert Row" button.
- If you want to delete the filter row, select it and click the "Delete Row" button.
- If you want to show or hide summary tasks regardless of the filter by clicking the "Show related summary rows" box.
- Click the "Ok" button.

Creating a resource leveling report in MS Project Pro
Steps to add a chart to a report in MS Project Pro:
- Click the "Report" item in the top menu.
- Create the report.
- Click the "Report Design" item in the top menu.
- Click the "Chart" button in the "Insert" block.
- Set the report name.

Steps to customize the chart data:
- Click the "Chart Desigen" item in the top menu.
- Click the "Chart Date" button in the "Show/Hide" group.
- Select the "Resources" in the "Field List" block.
- Select the "Time" in the "Select Category" field.
- Click the "Edit" buttom. Set the time period format:
- Set the "Weeks" in the "Units:" field.
- Set period start date in the "Start:" field.
- Set period end date in the "Finish:" field.
- Click the "Ok" button.
- Click on the required fields in the "Select Field" box. Select fields: "Work", "Remaining Availability", "Work Availability" and "Overallocation"

Block "Chart Layouts"
- Add Chart Element - You can add chart elements: "Axes", "Axes Title", "Chart Title", "Date Label", "Date Table", "Error Bar", "Gridlines", "Legend", "Lines", "Trendline", "Up/Down Bar". The list of elements depends on the type of chart
- Quick Layout - You can use templates with set elements.
Block "Chart Style"
- Change Colors. You can choose a set of color templates click the "Change Colors" button and choose the color template.
- Select a chart style, click the "Chart Style" block.
Block "Change Chart Type"
- You can change the chart type. Click the "Change Chart Type" button and select the chart type.
