Using a tasks status in MS Project Pro
Steps to set up a tasks status in MS Project Pro:
- Set the status date:
- Click the "Project" item in the top menu.
- Click the Status Date.
- Enter the current date.
- Click the "Ok" button.
- Set the progress lines:
- Open the "Gantt Chart" view in your plan.
- Click the "Gantt Chart Format" item in the top menu.
- Clikc the "Gridliness" button in the "Format" block.
- Choose the "Progress Lines" sumitem.
- Set the "Display" box in the "Current progress line" block. Choose the "At project status date" box.
- Click the "Ok" button.
- Add columns: "Status Indicator" and "Status".
- For all tasks that need to be implemented, even partially, the status is set "Late".
- For all completed tasks, the status is set "Complate".
- For all tasks that are being implemented according to plan, the status is set "On Schedule".
- For all tasks that will be implemented in the future, the status is set "Future Task".
