Using a tasks status  in MS Project Pro

Steps to set up a tasks status in MS Project Pro:

  1. Set the status date:
    1. Click the "Project" item in the top menu.
    2. Click the Status Date.
    3. Enter the current date.
    4. Click the "Ok" button.
  2. Set the progress lines:
    1. Open the "Gantt Chart" view in your plan.
    2. Click the "Gantt Chart Format" item in the top menu.
    3. Clikc the "Gridliness" button in the "Format" block.
    4. Choose the "Progress Lines" sumitem.
    5. Set the "Display" box in the "Current progress line" block. Choose the "At project status date" box.
    6. Click the "Ok" button.
  3. Add columns: "Status Indicator" and "Status".
    1. For all tasks that need to be implemented, even partially, the status is set "Late".
    2. For all completed tasks, the status is set "Complate".
    3. For all tasks that are being implemented according to plan, the status is set "On Schedule".
    4. For all tasks that will be implemented in the future, the status is set "Future Task".
