Customizing the formula for the enterprise custom field in MS Project Server

You can add the formula in the enterprise custom field. You can use fields of the plan and functions in the formula.

Steps to add the enterprise custom field in MS Project Server:

1. Click the "Server Settings" item in the left menu.
2. Click the "Enterprise Custom Fields and Lookup Tables" item in the "Enterprise Data" block.
3. To create the custom fields, click the "New Field" button.

Steps to add the formula in the enterprise custom field:

1. Enter the field name in the "Name" field. The name must to be unic. You can use special symbols.
2. Enter the field description in the "Description" field. 
3. Select the type of entity in the "Entity" field.
4. Select the type of data in the "Type" field.
5. Click the "Formula" in the "Custom Attributes" block.
6. Enter the formula in the "Enter formula:" field.
7. Click the "Pick Field" button and select the field if the plan.
   • Cost - cost data type. These are numeric fields with a currency symbol.
   • Date - date data type.These are date-encoded numeric fields.
   • Duration - cost data type. These are numeric fields with a date code.
   • Flag - field with values: "Yes" or "No".
   • Number - numeric field.
   • Text - text field.
8. Click the "Pick Function" button and select the function from the list.
   • Conversion - functions for conversion different data type.
   • Date /Time - functions for work with fields date and time types.
   • General - logical functions.
   • Math - functions for work with fields the numeric type.
   • Microsoft Project - functions for work with project fields .
   • Text - functions for work with fields the text type.
9. Click the "Pick Operator" button and select the operator from the list.
10. To save click the "Save" button.
