Enterprise custom fields in MS Project Server
Steps to setup enterprise custom fields in MS Project Server:
- Click the "Server Settings" item in the left menu.
- Click the "Enterprise Custom Fields and Lookup Tables" item in the "Enterprise Data" block.
- To create the custom fields, click the "New Field" button.
- Or you can to copy exist field. Select the field and click the "Copy Field" button.
- To edit a field, click the field name in the "Field" column.
- To delete a field, select the field and click the "Delete Field" button.

Adding enterprise custom fields in MS Project Server
Steps to add enterprise custom fields in MS Project Server:
- Enter the field name in the "Name" field. The name must to be unic. You can use special symbols.
- Enter the field description in the "Description" field.
- Select the type of entity in the "Entity" field.
- Select the type of data in the "Type" field.
- Select data source in the block:
- Single line of text - The text contains 256 characters.
- Multiple lines of text - The text contains an unlimited number of characters.
- Lookup Table - The field value defined by lookup table
- Formula - The field value is calculated using the formula.
- You can set the department name who is owner this field.

Steps to add enterprise custom fields in MS Project Server:
- You can set values to dispaly in the "Values to Dispaly" block:
- Data - Show th data in the field.
- Graphical indicators - Show a graphical indicators in the field.
- You can set the field behavior in the "Behavior" block:
- If you want to use this field in the workflow, click the "Behavior controlled by workflow" box.
- if you want the edit this field in the SharePoint tasks list projects, click the "Allow editing on Project Details pages for SharePoint Tasks List Projects" box.
- To save click the "Save" button.
